武 Wu, in English means martial, military or weaponry. It is a Chinese word that has multiple deep meanings. It is graphically composed of several symbls: one, weapons, and stop, which actually means “to end using weapons for all on earth”. It is also the official name of the great Chinese military strategist, scholar and warrior, Sun Zi who wrote the classic 孫子兵法. Sun Zi Bing Fa. It also actually means “The way of the warriors”, a book about how to use body, mind and spirit as a guide to reduce conflict and avoid harm. But it was translated to be The Art Of War as in a study only on how to win. It is rather sad how often Sun Tsu’s teachings have been misunderstood.
