You can fly to Albuquerque and rent a car (driving time about 2 - 3 hours). You can fly to Santa Fe and rent a car (driving time about 1.5 hours). There are shuttle services from Albuquerque airport to Santa Fe and from Santa Fe to Taos:

In Espanola the highway number changes from 285-84 to 68 north. There is no need to exit to get on to 68 North. Take 68 North along the Rio Grande towards Taos. You will come into the Town of Taos, continue straight through the town heading north on 64. Four miles north of the Town of Taos you will see a Speedway gas station on your left at a four-way stoplight. Turn right onto State Road 150.
